TARTABINI TOPS RS CUP QUALIFYING IN CROATIA
Just fifty thousandths of a second. That was Paolo Tartabini’s margin over Pierluigi Sturla, from Varese, in RS Cup qualifying at Rijeka. The driver from the Marche proved the best on the Croatian circuit, putting himself in a strong position for a good overall result and holding off the tough Pietro Alessi, who ended up third on the grid, and the formidable local hero Miha Primozic, starting in a privately run Clio Turbo. The third row was monopolised by SevenHills cars, with Manuel Stefani fifth and Daniele Pegolo sixth, a short distance behind Primozic.
