SEVENHILLS THIRD WITH TARTABINI AT MUGELLO
A positive first race for SevenHills at the Mugello Circuit in the RS Cup. In qualifying, Paolo Tartabini took third, with Manuel Stefani seventh, Andrea Bonifazi tenth and Massimo Massaro fourteenth and second among the naturally aspirated New Clios. Race 1 was turbulent from the start, with several drivers forced out by spins, but the SevenHills drivers almost all came through unscathed. Tartabini fought Mattia Lancellotti and Fazioli for the lead and was beaten only on the line, finishing third. Manuel Stefani had a troubled race: after a superb start that put him right behind the leaders, he completed the full distance in eleventh, also behind Andrea Bonifazi, with a car suffering from several problems after contact with a car that rejoined the track dangerously following a spin. The driver from Orvieto finished a fine eighth, but lost out in the Over classification to an outstanding Mario Beltrami, fifth overall and clear winner among the naturally aspirated cars. Bonifazi lost the battle for second in the Over class to Ercole Cipolla on the line after a fine duel, but his race still deserves applause. Massaro also took third in the naturally aspirated New Clio 2000 class, behind debutant Giampiero Fornara.
