SEVENHILLS MOTORSPORT: POSITIVE CLIO CUP DEBUT FOR BUGRA DERELI AT NAVARRA
The Turkish driver completes his first Clio Cup race weekend, gaining valuable experience at the Spanish circuit.
SevenHills Motorsport successfully completed another international race weekend at Circuito de Navarra in Spain, where Ahmet Bugra Dereli made his official Clio Cup debut behind the wheel of the team’s Renault Clio Cup V.
Following positive testing sessions at Vallelunga, the Turkish driver took an important step forward by competing in his first Clio Cup event against an experienced international field.
Throughout the weekend, Bugra focused on improving his driving, gaining confidence with the car and understanding the challenges of competitive racing, working closely with the SevenHills Motorsport technical staff.
In qualifying, Bugra recorded a best lap time of 2:10.140, securing 25th position out of 29 drivers, just seven thousandths of a second behind the driver ahead.
In Race 2, he successfully completed all 13 laps, crossing the finish line in 21st position, an encouraging achievement for his first competitive experience in the category.
Michele Febbraro – SevenHills Motorsport Team Manager
“We are pleased with the work Bugra completed throughout the weekend. After his initial testing at Vallelunga, this was his first experience competing in the Clio Cup against a very strong and experienced field.
He approached the weekend with the right attitude, listening to the team’s advice and working to improve session after session.
Our main objective was to complete the race weekend, gain valuable mileage and experience, and begin building a solid foundation for his development. We achieved that goal, and we are happy with the progress made together.”
SevenHills Motorsport continues its international development
The Navarra event further strengthens SevenHills Motorsport’s commitment to supporting drivers from different countries, providing a complete development pathway from initial testing sessions to international racing competitions.
Another valuable weekend for the team as it continues to expand its presence in European motorsport and invest in the development of its drivers.
